Walk from Family Stays to…

Lake Noua
Lake Noua is one of the most popular spots for walks and family time in Brașov.
The area is calm, open, and easy to explore, even with young children.
There are two well-designed playgrounds where kids can play freely without getting bored.
You can also rent small boats and enjoy a slow, relaxing ride on the lake.
And right next to the water, one of Brașov’s best-known attractions is waiting.

Park Aventura
Parc Aventura is set in the forest, right next to Lake Noua.
It features elevated adventure courses with ropes, suspended bridges, and a variety of obstacles.
The courses are split by difficulty, with options for children, teenagers, and adults.
The main highlight is the zipline that crosses the lake, one of the most popular experiences in the park.
After the adventure park, the next stop is just a short walk away.

Brasov Zoo & Planetarium
Brașov Zoo is modern and very well maintained.
It is the only zoo in Romania where you can see penguins, sea lions, and seals.
The layout is easy to follow, with wide paths and shaded areas, making it ideal for families with children.
Right next to the zoo is the planetarium, offering space shows designed especially for kids.
Together, they create a great balance of relaxation, fun, and learning.
Everything is close by, walkable, and easy to enjoy in a single day.
You get fast by car to…

The 7 Ladders Canyon
In just 7 minutes by car, you can reach the 7 Ladders Canyon.
It’s one of the most popular nature escapes in the Brașov area.
The trail runs through a narrow canyon with metal ladders and walkways, making it both easy to follow and visually impressive.
We’ve covered the full experience in a dedicated blog article, with practical tips to know before you go.

Old city center
In about 18 minutes by car, you can reach Brașov’s historic old town.
It’s the perfect place for slow walks, good food, and time spent at outdoor cafés.
Council Square, the Black Church, and Rope Street are all just a short walk from each other.
The entire area is best explored on foot, at a relaxed pace.

Harman and Prejmer
In about 20 minutes by car, you can reach Hărman or Prejmer.
Here you can visit two of the best-preserved fortified churches in the area, with the Prejmer church listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You’ll also find Fish4Life nearby, a fish restaurant I never skip when hosting guests.
Prejmer Raceway is another must, being one of the largest karting tracks in Romania.
All of these can easily be combined into a simple outing that mixes history, great food, and fun activities.
